Will the BDP-1 play 192kHz/24bit flac files?
Any dynamic solutions for the static?

Yes, the BDP-1 plays those files without problem.  What DAC are you using?

The Eastern Electric MiniMax DAC with Bolder Cable Co level one modifications.

According to the literature it will - except through the USB connection but I am not using it.  I am checking into this further.

Also, I did not use the "Play Tracks" option at the end of the HD Tracks download.  Could this be the problem?

fado,
I am not familiar with your DAC; however, I just read a review http://www.dagogo.com/View-Article.asp?bShowUnpublished=&hArticle=798&PageOfArticle=2 that on page 3 says that there is an anomaly when switching from 16/44.1khz to 24/192khz.  Could that be what you are experiencing?

Most likely.  I just got a reply from Bolder Cable Co stating that 192 is very hard for this DAC. He mentioned that the DAC chip can do it, but the design of the input switching makes it very difficult. 44.1, 88.2, 96, and even 176 all seem to be able to play with no trouble.

Thank You - I'll check the review.
