volume BR2/BP26 quit working

Hi James,

All of a sudden the 3 volume buttons on my BR2 quit working. BP26 does not respond at all. Everything else seems to work fine. BDA BDP BCD all respond as they should. So no battery-issue I guess? Any thoughts on what to do?

Try punching in the preamp code again on the remote.

I already tried, does not work. I tried the Bryston Preamp Remote, and that one does work, so it's definitely a BR2 issue...

Please let me ask again. Volume still is not working....
I mailed Mike as you suggested, but received no response.
What to do? Try new batteries, maybe because the volume takes more power to change than the other buttons? (sounds silly, I know....)

Marius - I'd recommend you get on the phone and call Bryston. Sometimes the email list is much longer than the voicemail. I expect the clear their voicemails daily but emails tend to pile up. Perhaps you'll get someone else there that can walk you through it.

Hi Marius

Sounds like it is defective so please contact the dealer for a replacement.

Re-program the BR2 for the BP26 as per instructions. BDA & BCD are preprogrammed.
Replacing the batteries will definitely cause it to lose the BP26 setting.

It’s possible the remote was dropped or something, causing the batteries to temporarily shift and the BR2 will lose its settings.

Thanks! did the trick. Don't understand why, (did punch in the code before) or what could have caused it (it wasn't dropped, I safeguard the BR2 with my life....), but it worked this time.
