Based on Roling Stone magazine but I think they missed a lot of them like JJ Cale,Joe Satriani,Gary Moore,Nils Lofgren and many more.

Glad to see Prince is in there at 33, always overlooked as a guitarist in my book,

The poor old boy peaked early aged 25 imho, downhill from there on.

If anyone has doubts about who should really be at No 1 find a copy of Frank Zappas' "Shut Up 'n Play Yer Guitar"
Spine tingling.

Why on earth would you want to do that??? I was shocked to see he is even *in* that list... He can do ONE thing, and even that one thing he is poor at...

Hi Won Ton On,
haven't done much of the posthumous stuff.
Do you rate it?
I feel a new addition to my Christmas list on the way!

The fact that they put Neil Young ahead of Frank Zappa tells you how seriously to take that article.

I know this is coming from Molding Stone Magazine, but without stating Genre, they really dropped the ball. Dejango without a doubt and then Al Demeola and Jerry Douglas and Norman Blake and, and, Oh, just forget it.

Later
Don

It would be much nicer if they would use Genre but not just numbers and forget about the other good ones.

I'm a big fan of Rory Gallagher as well.

How this fellow was left off the list is beyond me...
