Lesson learnt buying a heavy product (too expensive to ship back for servicing) where the manufacturer is located in another country. I have no problems that can be shipped for a reasonable cost.

The US postal service now provides shipping to Australia only at the highest rate with delivery in 1 to 3 days. No more sending via the slow boats. Keep that in mind.
Just found this out the other day when asked to ship a pre amp. The cost was more than $300 for a 4 kilo package. Yikes!
