Just joined AudioCircle today. I've been looking at a variety of Modwright equipment the past few months, and think this idea of putting equipment out on tour is an excellent idea. I am interested in auditioning both the 100se amp and the LS100 preamp. Alternatively, I would like to audition the LS 36.5 with the 100se. Hope I didn't miss the "Tour".

Still on tour. Sent back to Modwright for a check up. Shipping it this much may have taken a toll, or there's something wrong with the rest of my system. Having said that, I'm more than prepared to believe the latter.

I would not infer a quality control issue, the thing is built like a tank. Customer engagement from Modwright is excellent and responsive.

Thanks for the "heads up" about the tour. I'll also e-mail Kristen at Modwright. I am curious about your impressions from the audition.

I spoke with my tech this morning (I am out of the country currently) and he said that it was 100% fine and everything tested well. I believe last person to demo it found something in their system that was causing a buzz in one channel.

We are running it over the weekend and will get it back out 'on the road' on Monday.

As it turns out, I'll be picking the amp up tomorrow. I'll be running it in a bit of an unusual setup, so results should be interesting. My main amp in a Wyred4Sound STI-500 integrated. I'll be comparing the stock integrated to the Modwright being driven by the preamp outs on the integrated. I'll post impressions once I've formed 'em.

FYI, rest of the system is a Naim CD5X/Flatcap2X front-end, Harbeth Compact 7ES3 speakers and most cabling from Audio Art's SE line.
