James, I'm probably not alone in my desire to use the BDP-1 as a player for hi rez files, including the RR HRx recordings that have been so highly received. However, re your previous note about FAT32 having a single file size limit of 4Gb.... this quote from the RR site:
"What are the system requirements to play back HRx? You must have a large amount of hard drive storage space available. One HRx title can take up to 4.7 GB of space. You must have software to manage the music playback. "
Semantics, of course, but I'm hoping - and sure that you know... - When RR talks about a 'title' needing 4.7GB, do they mean one file or multi files?
I personally see the BDP-1 as a no-brainer alternative to computer playback - especially with its networking potential. I hope I'm seeing a problem where none exists!!
