I would show mine, but my subs are out of sight, but that doesn't mean yours is and this is the place to show off your bass!

My Tyler Acoustic MM5's with 10" woofers. No need for subs at this time.

These are 15 inch Eminence Alpha FR bass drivers in OB H-frames powered by mono-block Dayton amps which have built in crossovers. The Fostex Tektons on top are driven by a 2a3 SET amp.

The H-frame Alphas are fast, musical and sound nothing like a plodding sub.

These pics are not recent, but here is my pair of 18" TC Sounds LMS Ultras in DIY 24" sealed cubes.  They are powered by a pair of Behringer EP4000 amps and EQ'd with a Behringer Feedback Destroyer (1124P).  The amps are under the floor near the subs, and the EQ now resides on top of the amps.

I run these subs in true stereo for 2-channel music, and mono for HT.  The only reason I have these subs is because they are the best sounding subs I've heard for music.  My previous subs were a single SVS PB13-Ultra, and a Submersive HP.

Why do you have the amps under the floor? Seems very Inconvenient to me.

There's nothing inconvenient about the amps under the floor.  They are triggered on and off with my setup, so there's no issue there.

The amps are pro audio and have cooling fans.  The fans are relatively loud, and I'd never have them in my listening room.  I also don't have the room for those amps in my audio rack.  I never look at or adjust anything on them anyway, so having the sub amps and EQ under the floor is actually perfect.

Makes perfect sense if you never have to adjust them.

I always wanted to put the amps under the floor! That's a great idea. Except under my system is crawlspace so I would have to consider the humidity. Do you bring the raw cables up through the floor, or up through the rear wall with connectors and wall plates, etc?

There are some real advantages of having a climate controlled basement.  I wouldn't want to put the amps where they could be damaged in any way.

I didn't put any terminations in the walls, but I did run the wires through the walls where I mounted the plates to run my TV cables inside the walls.  It worked out perfectly.  The only cables that run through the wall is the interconnects, speaker cables, and the 12v trigger cable.  It's a pretty clean setup.

While I have my subs secreted away, my friend has his front and center:

The subs are a pair of Avantgarde Bass Horns that can go below 20hz and without strain.

I've only got 6 1/2" woofers for bass.  Oh yeah, a whole pile of them- super fast, super clean.  Low 20's, no problem.

Here's the full system. The subs are tucked in the front corners - sitting on ASC sub traps with quarter-round ASC corner traps behind them. More serious trapping would be nice. I'll get to it eventually.

I'm using a Bryston 10B Sub XO to divide the signal between the Magnepan 3.7s and subs - currently set @ 40Hz.

This is a better view of the subs - a pair of Definitive Technology SuperCube Reference beasts.

I am my own neighbor. The room is above a separate garage. I took measures to reduce leakage during its construction. Blown foam, dense fiberglass and multiple walls encase the room. Regardless, bass energy definitely escapes when I crank the system. Fortunately, the house on the other side of the garage is also ours (daughter lives there). My wife is my monitor. If I get carried away, she sends me a text. Thus far, I haven't had any complaints – except from her. I've asked the neighbor directly across the street. He said that he occasionally hears a bit of bass, but that it isn't bothersome. I think the only time it's really a problem is when we watch movies up there – sometimes the floor definitely shakes. :D

Bass is a funny creature as the better it sounds the less the neighbors complain.  Well managed and dampened bass will not be as burdensome as the woofy/boomy stuff.  As does Kevin360, I have my subs on (homebrew) sub stands that gets them off of the floor that acts as a radiator and does bad things.

Then there is the fact that those who love deep reaching bass also tend to like to hear it at proper levels that matches the other parts of the music (generalization).  To me, it is about hearing all of what was recorded, as it was recorded.

Yes, I know you were kidding :thumb:

S.Clark, that's an impressive array of woofers there, also impressive acoustical treatments.  But, uhm, that's that 3-D blue and white thingy in the right corner?

Compared to most of you guys I dont have much to offer in the way of porn... :o

I run the GR V-1s in my 2 ch room, they have the OB 12" drivers with the rythmik amps.
These are the best I have ever owned.
I also have a HT set up....thats currently not set up ...hopefully this winter I'll be able to renovate and finally build the HT room I want. This was designed by Rick at Selah and with it is 2 dual 12" Daytons in a sealed box with an OAudio 500w bash amp in each. Since they are just sitting I have been playing around with integrating them into my 2 ch room with the V-1s.....so far I like the addition.
Heres what they look like:

I know this is a bit overkill....the dual subs, but before I invest anymore $ in subs I wanted to play around a bit. I havent had much time to move them, listening positon etc since I work out of town alot, but I am getting some nice results on REW....but there is still a lot of room for improvement. Hopefully I'll get some good advice on this circle from the brainiacs here.

Heres the front of the 2 ch room:

And heres two of the back of room with each of the duals placed. There is currently one behind and to the left and right of main listening chair. I still have to treat back of room....apologize for the crappy rear room pics.
