Thanks FullRange Man for all the links.
Informative and clear.
I've checked the charts
and I am almost dead on for the body weight vs body height.
132lbs (60Kg) X 65'' (1.65m)
I could gain 2 Kgs and I would still be in the ideal zone
and my wife would be more happy about my look.

My wife is 1.52m (5') X 45Kg (100 pounds).

I have no idea, this may be a thing from North America that still live in the Imperial system :duh:
Rest of the world use metric system, inclusive UK.

According to Wikipedia the stone is a measurement from England
and one stone is equivalent to 14 pounds.
There you go, so you've learned something today.  :thumb:

So my wife's weight is 7 stone or approximately 100 pouds
which make her within the ideal ration weight - height.

Tom !
Fasting, does it mean not eating at all ?
Only water or tea ?
You are the expert in finding some good articles on the web,
soooo... Can you recommend one to know what to do
without harming my body or not dieing from hunger.

I am now gathering all possible information on fasting
and will decide which approach I will use.
I want to do it, maybe on the basis of one day a week,
but will see...

Hi weatherman1,
I wanted to try that,
but could not find a mouse trap big enough,
even if here on planet Vietnam the rats are the size of a dog.
No wonder the cats don't chase mouses, only dogs,
no kidding.

Guy 13

By the way, I am not really on a diet.
I eat a lot, but food with low calories.
I want to try fasting, just to find out if there is real health benefit(s) for me.

Yes, I do have some pictures of Xtra large Vietnamese rats,
unfortunately, the pictures and video have been put aside
for my next moving back to Canada and I don't want to
unpack the sealed boxes,
therefore, just image a small dog and you will get a pretty good mental picture
of what I mean by Xtra large rat.  :D

Guy, I always suggest first time fasters to start with a 1 day fast and then ramp upwards thereafter if desired.

For most this is not a terribly challenging process though, it is not uncommon, for some who are strong sugar (carb) burners, to end up with a headache.

I normally advise to start your fast with your last meal/snack of the day. This way you will sleep through a good portion of the 24 hour timeframe. Ideally, it is best to drink water only but many fasters will endure a challenge if they are coffee/tea drinkers. For those, it is fine if they drink tea/coffee .... provided no sugar or milk/cream is included.

Drinking plenty of water throughout the day is key. This helps flush out any toxins in your body. A good target is to consume half your body weight (in pounds) in ounces of water. So, a 200# person would drink 100 ounces of water.

I have plenty of experience and suggestions for you if you wish to engage in a prolonged fast, especially if you wish to experience the additional health benefits of using water fasting to raise ketones in your body.

If you have any questions, just ask and I'll do my best to answer.

Oh, and happy fasting. I strongly believe it will end up being one of the greatest thongs you will ever do for your health.  :thumb:
