Thanks!
I'm very satisfied with their sound!
My friends ask to built to them too, but unfortunatelly delivery costs to Europe and custums in Hungary kill the great price!

I hope in the future there will be an europian distributor.

BR,
A

It looks great!

No, it’s for my fronts and rears in my HT/Music room.

NX-Studio's for rears, holy shit that's awesome!  Are you just running 2 channels for the front and no center channel?  That's how I run my HT (NX-Oticas and triple OB subs).

Nice!  Yes the NX series might be the best HT speakers I’ve ever heard.  They have so much grunt and dynamics that they sound downright MEAN with HT material.

Awesome.. the anticipation has been intense. My room is borderline too small for these but I think I’ve added enough treatment to make it work well. Can’t wait to get some measuring going in my space.

How big is your room?

I thought I would post the final outcome of my 'over the top' LGK 2.0 build.

Parts:
- Sonicaps bypassed with Dueland's JDM copper bypass caps
- Mundorf foil inductor (higher value) and Jantzen foil inductor (smaller value)
- Mundorf resistors
- Jantzen (non-magnetic) Speaker posts (I know, but I lost my tube connectors)

Cabinet:
- 3/4 inch bevel on front panel verticals

Finish:
- Ebony veneer (adhered with heat lock glue)
- Osmo hard wax-oil finish (4 coats)

Hello All,
I recently moved to the Philippines and have a rather large living room and have taken an interest in Open Baffle Speakers. Strongly considering the NXTREMES.
Currently own Wilson Audio Yvettes , KEF Blades and more speakers than rooms...Oh well this hobby will be the end of me one day. I subscribe to NRD, AudioFILE Junkie etc. Looks like i stumbled across the right place if I am going to take something like DIY Build.
Regards,

HAL

Have my two modular 6x12 OB servo sub towers running with the GR-Research SW-12-16FR sub drivers and 4 Rythmik Audio HX300-12OB servo amps.

The modular cabinets are from captainhemo.  The pair is in Hot Rod Black automotive paint.

Building some planar line arrays to go with them and waiting on the baffles to be finished.

Hey guys! Stopping by to post a little montage of my NX-Studio build.

I did not take nearly as many pictures as I should have, missed documenting all kinds of terrible mistakes I made along the way. The build took me a little over three months to complete, working on them in any free time I could capture. I learned a lot, I have never put a speaker together before. This forum was an incredible resource for knowledge and I'd like to thank everyone who posts here for the help. The only thing I did that was a little wacky was suspend some white fluorescent pigment and purple glow-in-the-dark pigment to the final coats of Polycrylic Max. I had a difficult time photographing the effect, but it is pretty groovy under black light.

Unfortunately I just kinda jumped into this and didn't think about how I was going to mount these in the end. My room is pretty small, about 10'x12' and I'm forced into a corner placement. Less than ideal. I ended up needing to fabricate some brackets out of sheet metal (another first) and did my best to make it work. In the end I think I mounted them too close to the ceiling (about 1' from the top). I'll probably end up bringing them down another foot when I muster the energy, though I'll need to rearrange other things on my wall to make it work... Boo. I know looking at this mount is probably giving someone a headache. I DID MY BEST! But if y'all have any ideas, please give them a shout.

I think the next project will be a servo sub build when they get back in stock next month.

I know there's no way I can make a Double Trouble work in this room... But I can't stop thinking about them anyway.

The Studios sound really great. It was a great way to spend my time.

Thanks dudes.  :thumb:

Oh, you can definitely make a Double Trouble work in your room. Place it close to the wall -- not ideal, but who cares? It will still sound far superior to virtually any box sub.

Yeah, pretty much verbatim what this dude has been telling me.
