Where the audio gear has been "temporarily" hanging out during the room makeover. It is interesting to note the difference in audio quality [perceived(?)] with different room dynamics.

Had a smile when I walked into the house today after work. We have a lady who comes and spends some time with Hector and lets him out for a "sniff" when Lady Laundrew and myself are both working days. Today is Hector's birthday and our big guy is 7 years old. Hector has an absolute weakness for sweet, juicy watermelons and Auntie "B" knows this so she brought Hector a little gift when she was in today.

Slowly, painstakingly inching forward to the final skim coat for the walls in the listening room - my mentor will drop in later on today and critique my work thus far. It is amazing how many imperfections can be relatively "hidden" by the type of paint you decide to use as these walls were poorly finished. The new addition is simply a joy to mud as the walls are all "straight." I have a couple of plans to "get rid" of the horrible window - so to speak, as it is disgusting to have natural light invade a sanctuary - bring on the gloom.

True, but Lady Laundrew would most certainly enjoy an addition such as yours to our humble abode  :thumb:

I've been using Stealth Audio Cables for years now and have been very happy. I decided to upgrade my Sakra xlr IC's to the latest 12V's along with my Dream speaker cables to the new Dream Royale's.

I saw a pic on the web site showing the comparison, a pic of my current Dream's v/s the new Royale's and I thought my Dream's were already pretty substantial in size but looking at the pic - well you can see for your self.

My package arrived today and once I got to the Roylale's my initial impression was wholly crap these are sick! I'm in awe that there are manufactures designing and actually building such - the fit and finish is top notch!

See below some actual pics

Last skim coat of mud and third primer coat completed - this has been quite a learning process  :duh: Now to start fitting the shelves. The listening room is now looking better with each completed "milestone."
