Ah yes, photos of our most beloved furry friends.

With them during the happy times...

And by their side when they need us most during the unhappy times...

Be well...

The closet is finally completed in the spare room, which is on the other side of the wall of my listening room. Finally a "temporary" storage space for the overflow CDs from the filing cabinets. Today is for finishing the trim work in the spare room and Lady Laundrew can paint it during her week off.

Be well...

The spare room is finally completed. The first photograph is after part one of the demolition, the remaining wall you see separated my listening room from the spare room and was eventually removed and reconstructed approximately 7 feet into the old spare room - this provided an alcove in the listening room for my desk, book and CD shelves - removing most of the furniture from in front of my audio gear. Now to move into the listening room and finish it.

Part 1 Demolition.

Alcove created in listen room.

Lady Laundrew will find "stuff" to move into the new spare room.

A smaller, but better organized closet in the new spare room.

Congratulations, the project is looking great, Laundrew. You've done a wonderful job. A row (or wall) of steampunk gauges and devices in the future? It could look great; you could do a very creative audio rack with gauges and such mounted around your gear. Steam-based volume control?

How many CDs do you project being able to store? It looks like each shelf will hold several hundred discs. How about a couple of pics of the listening room? It will be fun to track your progress with this aspect of the project.

Thanks for posting the photos of Hector. Some beautiful dogs on this thread, eh?

Happy listening,

Rich

Hello Rich  :D

Thank you for your kind words. Yes, they are a lot of sweeties on this thread. The perfect re-incarnation would be to come back as a dog in a loving household. Hector's work day consists of barking now and then at somebody walking on his sidewalk, licking his butt when Laundrew is not looking and then giving him kisses, random attacks on unsuspecting legs, keeping birds and squirrels out of his backyard and deciding which bed to have a snooze in.

More sanding in the listening room to do. The shelf in the photo is holding approximately 900 CDs and the capacity of the CD shelf in my listening room will be around 1200 CDs. The plan is to add a wall shelf in the closet for my "mainstream" music and have the shelf in the listening room hold my Gothic and female vocalist CDs. This was my first attempt at a suspended ceiling and I must give "thanks" to YouTube and all the individuals who posted "how-to" videos for this installation. It is great to have easy access to your mechanicals by removing a few tiles when required.

Be well...
