Now Adrian, all you gotta do is ask and we could have recorded it.

Wow Joe,

I guess I should have asked anyway. I was thinking that 1) the orchestra had lost their budget for recording and I didn't want to ask you to do it for free and 2) I knew that you had the radio broadcast concert that day. Next time, I'll ask first. Thanks for the offer.

I've been known to do a pro bono or 2.  It all comes out in the end. It just comes down to how much do you love music and learn new things and hear great music. Just let me know when the next one is and we'll work something out :violin:

Once again, I'm sorry that I didn't post this info a lot sooner. I guess that I haven't learned my lesson yet. Here is an update on some upcoming concerts. They are just a few day away:

Manchester Methodist Church(corner of Manchester and Hwy 141)
Christmas Concert by the Chancel Choir
Kevin McBeth, conductor
Sunday December 16, 7:30pm(actually I'm not playing this one due to another rehearsal, but this should be good)

Bach Society Christmas Candlelight Concert
A. Dennis Sparger, conductor
Powell Symphony Hall (at Grand and Delmar)
December 17 and 19, both evenings at 7:30pm(this is always great!!)

If you miss the Bach Society concert, there may be a radio broadcast of it later on Classic 99 FM. I'll keep you posted.

The Bach Society Christmas Candlelight Concert '07 will be broadcast on Classic 99 KFUO FM this Sunday night, December 23 at 8pm. It was a very nice event, so you might want to tune in.

Thanks,
Adrian

In an effort to continue this one man response thread of late, Dennis Bergin will be featured in a concert with the American Cantori(sp?) this Sunday Jan.6 at 3pm. This is one of the Bach at the Sem series, and will be held in the Chapel of St. Titus and St. Timothy on the campus of Concordia Seminary. Anybody going? Is anybody out there???

Thanks Scott. Actually, I can't go myself. I'm having dinner with friends in Rolla on Sunday afternoon.

I was wondering if any GAssers are planning on going to hear the St. Louis Symphony play Messiaen's Turangulila Symphony at the Touhill Center? The concert is Jan. 29 at 7:30 PM. Barb will be in the hospital that week so I'm looking for someone to hang with. This is a very colorful masterpiece of modern composition with very unique instrumentation and is rarely performed. It should be quite a show and the acoustics at the Touhill are top notch.

Sturg might still go too. I'll probably order tickets early next week as soon as I get my new credit card. Got a fraud problem with the old one.

Chris and Sturg,
I found out I have to go out of town on the 29th on business and I won't get back in time to make the concert.  Let me know how it is.

I'll be playing at Manchester Methodist Church on Sunday evening, March 2 at 7:30pm. The concert, "A Mass For Our Time" will feature popular movements from various masses written by different composers, strung together to create one mass. I think that the concert is free, but an offering to be taken up.

Next weekend, I'll be playing with the Bach Society. The work will be the St. John Passion. More details later...

Though not in the metro St Louis area... If you're ever in Indianapolis be sure to check out "The Slippery Noodle"!!!
It's a great blues house and the best bands play in the back section...beer is cold and the shrimp cocktails are fairly good.
Great atmosphere, good people, great music...
