Hi Bill,

Dang....just saw this thread now!    :duh:

If the list is not yet closed down, I would like to get on it.
Looks like most auditioners are right in the NYC / LI area, and I'm right in the middle of 'em.
Would really like to give it a spin, and I would not need the full 10 days.

Please, please, purdy please?!!!

okay, okay, okay :thumb:

Being in the heart of where most auditioners are, it would not be a problem toobluvr.

I am going to put work on the list and the order in which they will travel. I will post this here so you will know where it goes when you are done. I will provide the address via PM as not to post anyone's address publicly. If the time schedule does not work out due to vacation, out of town or whatever, please let me know when the list is posted.

Good morning AC'ers

Below are a few pictures of the finished chassis of the first unit.

We will be manufacturing only 12 of the Bella Phono amplifiers prior to the release of the Musica Bella Purity Phono.

NY & NJ  will be smooth like a butter. Most of us know each other and no need to ship with "Gorillas".

Greetings AC'ers.

Here are the routes for the Bella Phono.

 Unit #1

BillC - East Brunswick NJ
toolbluvr - Long Beach NY
Bob_M - Massapequa Park, NY
Mariusz - Brooklyn NY

 Unit #2

sts9fan - Newton MA
tybee - Smyrna TN
AliG - Katy TX
Matt_P - Circle Pines MN

I tried to direct Unit #2 so auditioners would have the shortest shipping distance. I will update when they ship out.

Both units will be burned in using the Granite Audio phono burn-in disc.

Sounds good.
I'll be ordering moving iron next week from SoundSmith.
We will see.
I have Consonance Ref.40 MM/MC and Accuphase vintage integrated on the way.
Creek as a back up.
SME 3009II imp. with SoundSmith moving iron (most likely SMMC2 in ebony shell)
Other arm/cart:
Moarch Up4 with Cartridge Man, MusicMaker III/Isolator on it.

To update, unit #1 is up and running and burning in. It will get a few days in the system before getting hit with the break in CD for the remainder of the burn-in process. The final days prior to shipping, it will be back in the system being fed by the turntable.
Should be shipped to the first person in line early February.

Unit #2 will be done shortly and also hit the burn-in systems.

Unit #1 - Kinda funny how a CD is used for size reference over an LP

Maybe you should use a glass of wine instead (classy stuff to go with a classy looking preamp!)  :wine:

Hi Bill
Granite Audio burn-in CD is a good, inexpensive tool for phono conditioning.
Don's bass test tone CD also come in handy.

I am still on hold with SoundSmith Iron......if it doesn't work out I will use Clearaudio or Grado cart to audition your Bella phono.

It would make sense to start "Bella phonostage 1st impressions" thread when first person finish his/her audition.

Best

Thanks Bob. My wife mentioned that to me as we have some nice wine glasses here. I told her there was another manufacturer on AC that already uses the idea. I don't want to step on Vinny's toes (Red Wine Audio). Maybe a bottle of Jack

Unit #2 under construction

This one being done up in advance for anyone who wants it. Elm Burl veneer. Should look sharp after a few coats of finish.
