Hello,
I just did post a message about my new to build pre amp by Gary Dodd using a 6085 tube( he offered me to do some changes so i can use this one instead of the russian ones) and now i see a pic of the 6085/e80cc. I have some 6085 nos but most are e80cc made in europe. Sincere greetings, Edward

I would suggest 6SU7 type, second best to 33S29.......

Mullard ECC81,both with 1552 Date code
Left one with 1552 G4
Right one with 1552 D4
The only different is the Getter

1552 F3
1552 D4
1552 G4
F3 had two holes on both plate,D4 had one hole on both plate,G4 had one hole and bar support getter
