Here's a 1980 vintage 4b Pro I scored at a garage sale recently. I was totally blown away at how good this thing sounds, especially since the gentleman that sold it to me hadn't powered it up in years.

I wonder what that "MIA Interconnect" was supposed to be for... MIA = "Missing in Action"? Looks like it could be for meters with clipping indicators....

I see this site has gone from one of the worst to one of the best for ease of uploading pics

. Nice job whoever is running the website.

This 2BLP probably spent many years is a smoky bar and smelled like stale beer when I opened it up. It was super-easy to work on and a shining example of Bryston build quality.

I cleaned everything up inside and out, replaced the power cord and sanded/painted the top cover with BBQ black paint.

To me the 2B sounds just like it looks inside - simple and purposeful and very "open" soundstage. I really like it, one of my favourite Bryston amps.

I would never let anyone smoke around my gear.Realy stinks very nice gear up.Nice to see all the care you put into making it like new again.Good gear isn't always treated as such.
