I have for sale a mint pair of Salk Songtowers with the standard dome tweeter in the San Francisco Bay Area (East Bay), and I’d strongly prefer to sell these locally and not ship. Asking $1400 (new is about $2000). The finish is close to dark curly cherry as pictured among the Songtower photos on Salk’s website. I am the original owner and will include the “birth certificate” and paperwork. These are basically in perfect condition, and I would rate them 9 on the Audiogon scale. These are very efficient speakers (88db) which are easy to drive with a variety of tube and solid state amps. They are the best speakers I’ve heard for the price and hold their own against much more expensive speakers. I am still trying to get my camera to cooperate with some indoor pics, but if you’re in the Bay Area, why not just make the trip, audition them, check em out in person and buy them! I cannot imagine a better sounding pair of speakers at this price and you will NOT find a pair of “used” speakers in better cosmetic and functional condition than this mint pair – they would literally pass for new.
