There are three levels of Mains Isolation Transformers to choose from.
The first level is a 1500va version that is recommended for use for all system components AC lines to be dedicated and connect to. This handmade copper wired transformer can be used in a 1:1 ratio or 1:0.5 ratios. With the transformer we highly recommend using two 115vac phases (230v) and using the 1:0.5 tap. The creates a BRAND NEW 115VAC LINE. What is best is now there is NO MORE NEUTRAL LINE. This eliminates a whole load of noise and now you have blacker backgrounds and more punch. You will be amazed at the difference this unit makes in your system. The results when using this 1500va transformer with digital components are much more micro/macro resolution, taller/wider soundstages, much less grain/glare, and much more dynamics and bass!!!
Second Level- CD Mains 120va Isolation Transformer- This handmade copper wired transformer can be actually used stand alone from the much larger version above. This transformer connects to your dedicated AC line between the breakers and the AC outlet. We highly suggest using this for your CD/DVD/SACD players or transports/DAC’s. Or if you using the 1500va version, we Highly Recommend using this transformer as well in a 1:1 ratio in series to further isolate “Crosstalk” from other components in the system as well as provide even more isolation from those pesky harmonics from entering into your precious digital equipment. Also, this transformer can be wired to a 1:0.5 ratio and when you use two separate 115vac phases we once again can effectively eliminate the neutral on the system. We highly recommend also using the 1500va in conjunction with this great transformer for the best results! The results when using this 120va transformer with digital components are much more micro/macro resolution, taller/wider soundstages, much less grain/glare, and much more dynamics and bass!!!
Third Level- The Audio Consulting SILVER ROCK Mains Isolation Transformer-
This is the very best Mains transformer in the world. Made up of multiple thin strands of Audio Consulting SILVER WIRE, this little 35VA transformer will surprise the dickens out of you. This transformer set the standards anywhere with its World Class performance. At its 35va current potential, we highly suggest using this unit for your digital devices only. It is a complete optimized version of the CD mains 120va version. With its unique impedance ratings, the harmonics on the AC signal will want to travel anywhere but very far away. It can also be wired the same way as the above. The amount of energy created and resolution from this piece is completely and utterly stunning. The amount of resolution and effortless sound created cannot be matched.
Copper Wired or Silver Wired AC Digital Chokes-
These chokes would be wired in series with one of the above transformers, feeding harmonic correction to your very critical digital gear. The recommended setup is the CD Mains 120va transformer ($230/ea) with a set of the Copper wired Chokes ($260/set) wired in series to each other and then the output goes to the digital wall outlet. This will bring Resolution and Dynamics you never thought of. This combo will block alot of harmonics from entering through. Great Combo.
