Please watch this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jb5-RIfIn40 . The electromagnetic field is so strong without the ground wire. It is in the online Amadus manual. Look at page 13 in the manual. It is not in our owner manual. http://www.welltemperedlab.net/welltemperedlab/WTL%20Amadeus%20Manual%20Rev.%20Oct%2009.pdf

Interesting. But is the video showing the attachment of the grounding wire from the switching power supply or the grounding wire from the table to the phono pre? I find with my current set-up I need grounding wires going from the WTA to my phono pre (Dynavector P75) to my preamp (Musical Fidelity kW) to my amp (Atma-sphere S-30). I didn't need the wire between my preamp and the other amp I tried out with this set-up, a MiniWatt N3. And with prior phono preamps, only the wire to the phono pre was necessary. FWIW.

No there are 2  wires , one between the TT & one go to the phono preamp. The one i tried is the one they show on the online Amadus manual.

And how does the electromagnetic field without that ground from the PDU to the grounding post affect the sound quality?

Would you think the cartridge will pick that up. Just listen with the gnd wire, you hear the differents with and without the add on gnd wire .

I tried and didn't notice a difference.  Only had time to listen for about 15 minutes, however.

Btw, there was no such ground wire supplied with my Amadeus.

Plink , i heard the improvement right a way. Did you hook up the wire right? One wire has to come from the outer shell of the Dc input socket. Which the nut is missing, It was showing in the online manual. I took a small strand wire , push it in together with the Dc input plug. Make sure it only touching the outside shell, which is the negative side. This is for testing only, i am going to get the nut that was missing and get a proper connection.

rayh23a, it may very well be that I did not have it connected properly.  I made a wire connected to two clamps and connected the clamp to the outer bit of the DC input.

It is possible for you to post a photo?

Rayh, isn't the supplied wire the one we would use with a phono amp? Have you got the new WT Power Supply? Nice pictures.

Yes i use the one come with the TT for Gnd wire between TT & phono preamp. That wire is too big to jam into the plug, so i use a thinner wire. The PSU is still back order. Dealer ordered 16 and 11 already sold.

I got my Amadeus DPS along with the turntable, and it has been stable with no hum or crackle problems. I'm sure you'll also notice a difference. I'm using an after market power cable with it, which further increased stability.

Good to hear... For a good all rounder power cord try the Shunyata Venom 3-- only $99 and better than most.

Thanks for the tip TK.
Haven't had the pleasure of auditioning a Shunyata yet, but I'm a big, big fan of PS Audio's Perfect Wave AC3 and AC5 cables. Went for three of those actually. And I'm hoping they'll pick up my plea for an 8 gauge AC5...
