FS: VAC Phi 300.1 tube amplifier - SOLD!
« on: 17 Oct 2011, 03:13 am »
Hate to see this go, but I am selling my beloved VAC Phi 300.1 tube amplifier.  For those unfamiliar with Kevin Hayes' classic masterpiece, the Phi 300.1 is an eight beam power output tubed amp yielding 300 watts in dedicated mono mode or 150 watts/channel in stereo mode.  Unit can be run either in single-ended or fully balanced mode.  The VAC sound is truly musical with incredible control and detail.  To boot, it's a serious piece of audio eye candy.

Product details/specs can be found on the VAC website here: http://www.vac-amps.com

Unit is in excellent condition all around with no dings or scratches.  Estimating ~2000 hours on the tubes.  All original packing materials, instructions, power cord, etc are included.  Tubes will be shipped in separate packaging from the amp for protection.

I will ship this 128lb beast (shipping weight) to your door at my cost (CONUS only please).  Assistance in lifting it out of the box comes at the buyer's expense.

SOLD.

Thanks!

Congrats. I've been thinking about your amp since you listed it for sale. One of the best sounds I ever heard used that amp for amplification. I'd love to hear the VAC with my Salk HT3 speakers someday.

Thanks Joe. The Phi 300 was a treat to own. It will always be a favorite of mine, but time marches on.  :)
