I need to find someone in the Chicagoland area (as close to the City as possible)  that can repair tube amps. Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Gary

You can try Skokie TV service in Wheeling.  They repaired a Mitsubishi SS amp for me under warranty and did a good job.

I would also call Saturday Audio Exchange on Belmont. There is a guy in back that refurbishes all their used equipment, they may do some repairs on the side.  I am not sure however.

Lastly, there is a place called Ellis TV & Video Service in Glenview.  It is a one man owned small shop in a strip mall that has some old tube radios in the window.  He may also do repairs.

Decibel on Milwalkee also has an in-house repair guy. Not sure if he does tubes or not.

I used to live at 4170 N Marine, on LSD, and used the old guy at 21st Century TV Repair.  Its a few store fronts down (heading west) Montrose from Montrose & Ashland intersection, next door to a killer hispanic restaurant 'La Sierra'.  There's a dynamite little bakery across the street too.

The guy has thousands of vacuum tubes & is as old skool as it gets.  His shop is hysterical, an experience every time. He has a tube tester also.

You might also ask Jon Van L, he has an audio store in that area.  The guys at Decibel in Wicker Park are good too, as someone else mentioned.
