It's Kismet time for the RMAF,   2 new products:

Kismet Hybrid Integrated
Kismet Reference Monitors.

Large monitors,  ScanSpeak 4531 and Scan's Beryllium tweeter.

Man oh man,  without a doubt !!!!  one, if not the best driver there is.  Just fantastic, hehehehe

Doing  final listening right now before packing up and start driving..........

what are the dimensions and specs of the speakers?  I need a quality bookshelfish sized speaker, no larger than 20" high.

Not sure, but they are less than 20" high or right at it.

Thanks for all of you guys who attended our room.
And yup,  it was quite good.  The Scan BE   is the real thing,  I have to say.  The more time I spent with it,  the more I fell in love with it,..  fantastic job,  ScanSpeak.

And Rob,  yes, you are in luck.....

Always fun to BS with Klaus. Very fun ripping on a big burly dude with a German accent. Even if he's threatening to do awful things to me with my own camera.  :o

Also Beryllium is in full trend mode right now. Last RMAF it was Ribbon tweeters and OTLs.

I second Klaus here...we had a great time at the show this year. Special thanks to all the people that attended our room this year. The new "Kismet" (newer product) units sounded and looked fantastic  :icon_lol:

Now, I want to give a special thanks to all the AC's people that covered the show - I don't know how you guys do it but you are special. If was not for your "true" honest coverage and opinion, many people will have no idea of the many different small companies that exist out there. Your coverage is first rate and I applaud you. Nice to see you again  :thumb:

Pez, thanks for the pics!

Thanks.  What I really want to know:
1. Number and types of inputs / outputs?
2. Phono stage?
3. Is it a balanced design?
4. What does the remote look like?  Ability to remotely control power and source selection in addition to volume and mute?
5. HT bypass?
6. How does it compare with a current Candela + Stratos Extreme Mono set?

Klaus was quoting $3500 at the show.

Just in case it's not obvious from the picture, the monitor is trapezoidal meaning it's tapered from back to front.

I will say that these sounded phenomenal.  If they weren't broken in before, they should have been by Sunday from playing that Eddie Van Halen riff over and over very loudly.   The monitors can handle serious juice and sound very clean even at loud volume.  Definitely rocked.

Rocked eh?

Look forward to more impressions. And looks like Klaus may swing by with a pair next time he is in Chicago...

We certainly enjoyed your company...the eruption demos as you call them an Van Halen lead guitar was something else through the "Berylliums"  :icon_lol:

Thanks for the beer...I will take your word for next year
