UPDATED, AND TAKEN OFF THE MARKET
6L6 / 5687 Integrated Amp, hand wired, built by a friend of mine, who makes one or two tube amps each year (and that usually get bought by friends of his).
Beautifully made, as you can see in the photos. PRP resistors, teflon-insulated wiring, and generally very good component quality.
Maybe the best part, it has individual bias current adjustments, with meter, for the four output tubes. You can somewhat voice the amplifier with the bias current settings.
I don't have a schematic of the amp (and I'm not going to hassle my friend to assemble one), but with the hand wiring and clean layout, I think a tube amp technician will be able to pretty well understand the circuits.
It's about four years old, and in nice shape. Power output is probably an honest 35 tube watts. The only concern I have about it is that does have some 60 Hz hum from the transformer and at the outputs. I'm kinda fussy about that sort of thing, but then I have a set of fairly high sensitivity speakers in a small, lively room, and you can hear the hum when everything else is quiet. In contrast, on my basement system where I also have fairly high sensitivity speakers, it's not a big deal.
The signal tubes are a precisely matched set of 5687 Tung Sols that I purchased from Jon Catuccio. The power tubes are TAD (Tube Amp Doctor) 6L6WGC-STR. Volume control is an Alps Black Beauty.
$700 plus shipping. This is a very well made integrated, better made that the price indicates.
Local sale preferred, but I can ship it. I live in Eastern PA, within 1.5 hours of most of Northern NJ and the Philadelphia area.
