SOLD

Includes iMod, Silver cable and Speck case. FWIW, the previous owner informed me that the cable was made by a gentleman in Canada, and not by ALO. It seems to be very well built.

In this generation of iMod, the high quality output is taken from the port in the bottom of the chassis.  The silver cable contains output coupling capacitors--which is why it's necessary to use a specialized cable.  Of course, the sound quality if very impressive for a portable unit.  (And actually, the sound quality via the headphone jack is pretty respectible, too.)

The iMod itself has a couple issues: A few of the pixels on the display aren't working, as you can see from the photo. Also, the you have to push the thumbwheel pretty hard to get it to click. I've never had any problems with it... it's always made contact, but you do have to push it.

Sound quality is very good, even though the headphone jack.
(I've gotten even better results playing .wav files instead of Apple Lossless. I have instructions on how to import .wav files. In fact, I've been mostly listening to the 16/44.1 .wav files through the headphone jack.)

$175 Shipping Included.
