DNM cables

Hi all,
Have anyone ever used DNM cables?  There was a cool feature in S'phile by Art Dudley on these cables, and these things just look like plain old FM antenna wire.  But their simplicity really attracts me, as well as their low cost.  They're designed that way to "avoid eddy currents", but me being the non electrical engineer have no idea what that means.  What do you all think?

That DNM article was very interesting I thought, too.

Maybe some of our friends 'across the pond' could comment....DNM isn't widely sold here in the US.

The "avoid eddy currents" philosophy is also how Audience designs their cables.  Here's their explanation of what goes on:
