No affiliation with the seller.  Just amazed at this concept & wondered if anyone had seen anything like this before?

That's a new take on an old speaker. The Ohm F's were on my short list of speakers when I bought back in 1976-77.  The main knock on them was that they took a ton of power.  I ended up with Design Acoustics.

If you were going to double up, that's probably the best way to do it, but I don't think it's necessary.

I would also be extremely skeptical about a "refurbished" F. The people at Ohm Acoustics say that they haven't been able to rebuild one to the original standard and I doubt that this guy has done a lot better.

They were great speakers in the day but that day was 40 years ago.

Yes Ohm Fs were great speakers in their day.  A friend of mine had a pair.  I think they were $3k list back them.  The drivers I believe were made with titanium.  I brought over the 1812 Overture and warned him not to play it too load.  He did not listen.  I believe a new driver cost him $600.

I believe I heard them at the Hifi Show in DC in the mid 70's.

I remember also United Audio had one of their Dual 1229Q TT's hanging upside down playing the Allman Brothers Eat a Peach.

And Cerwin-Vega had their 15T Towers running the "Earthquake" Soundtrack in their
SenSurround Sound.

Somewhere I think I still have a Leslie Test Record that I got from them.

Those were some cool days. 8)

A friend of mine was a dealer for them back then.  I really couldn't ever warm up to the sound, it didn't sound like music.  They sold more on technology than auditions, it's really cool, it must sound good.

Interesting notes guys.  I am a fan of Ohm's, owning the 200's.  I thought thie linked to design was more than a bit of overkill. 2 Cans per side when one F per side is considered a world class speaker.

Hi, Well, I do remember the speakers. Yep, they required power to sound there best. I wasn't very impressed with the G model at all. the F's were much better. 15 G's is a lot of money for a speaker like that. I seriously think you can do a whole lot better for that kind of money spent.
