This is a neat-looking gadget:

Might be a useful as a basic (inexpensive) system testing tool. I'm thinking I might get one and write an article on it. Any interest?

Great price!  I think that would be a great article.

How do they do that for less then <$100?

Pretty cool.

I've looked into scope cards for PC's before, and the drawback to the inexpensive cards is bandwidth (this is <200kHz) and memory depth.

For basic troubleshooting, it looks like it would work fine.

I picked up one of these, updated the firmware to the latest BenF version so I could see when my signal from my 885 was clipping. Neat little device and glad I picked it up.

First thing I found is that you need a USB Mini type “B” cable to hook this up to your PC.

Grab a SD card if you want to save files and such.

Go over to the DSO Nano webpage and download and install the BenF firmware. There are a few YouTube videos that walk you through the update process. Information about what he changed can be found on the manufactures page.

Probably want to get some alligator clips to hook up to the leads that come with the unit. The are little and could use some help when trying to connect to a bigger area. If you are connecting to like a resistor leg the regular leads would be fine.
