Sub Amps
« on: 26 Sep 2011, 08:13 pm »
Hi Danny, I’ve been thinking of fleshing one of the subs I built and notice the the A300 I used before is no longer listed and the A370PEQ is backordered. Can you tell me the ETA on 370 and is the 300 going to come back or gone for good?

We are about to bring back the A300.

It looks like it could still be another month on the A370PEQ's.

Actually, i believe the expression predates Seinfeld by at least 20 years.  I seem to remember an old Campbells (IIRC) commercial extolling the virtues of instant soup over homemade.  "Is it soup yet?" refers to the time it takes to make soup from scratch as opposed to "just add water and boil."

I think you are correct Bob. That is a pretty old saying.

Okay, Google is your friend....  It was Lipton advertising its dry mix against Campbells.  The idea was that for just a little extra time, Lipton's dry mix was better than Cambells.

Hey, I knew it was a commercial, the late sixties - I was maybe 10 at the time.  Funny what you can remember.

That's scawey, (in my best Elmer Fudd voice)

I don't know why all that old ad stuff rattles around in my head. Dialing back the way back machine a little..."A little dab'll do ya"...or not...
