NS-SEP16CS

Special Edition: HUGE Baldwin transformer, dual 5U4 rectifiers and 6BG6G tubes. All mounted on a very heavy Antek aluminum chassis.

Also features the following:
*1940's power supply upgrade/circuit tweaks
* Variable Feedback
*Tunable Biasing
*Extra large Hammond 30 watt single ended outputs (fine laminations)
*Low heat dissipation
*Commercial duty
*Autumn Red Metallic finish with clearcoat

I want to make another reference unit, so this one is going. What I like about the amp: Nothing can hide from it! It's transparent, fast and not lacking in power. This amp will not run out of gas easily since peaks can reach 32 watts/channel. The tubes will last a long, long time. The present set is 2 years old and just as good as the day they were installed and they have allot of run time on them.

This is one of the amps I based the performance of others with. If you like an amp to be totally revealing, this is your baby. Microdynamics spring to life, highs are left untouched and bass can be moving. Mids are not warm or cold. They're present and unattenuated or boosted. Music is pealed apart like an onion for better or worse, so be prepared!

Goal of making a reference amp: It can NOT sound like a tube amp! It can not sound like a solid state amp either. References are their own breed, designed to be hardware for the music to travel through...untouched.

Price is $1800.00, shipping is $85.00. This is HEAVY!

Regular price is over $4,000.00

One upgrade is available: DC Filaments. For AC members: The upgrade will be FREE!

BTW: You'll notice the tube labels do not match. They were hand selected for performance and the internal structures are the same.

Blemishes: One paint chip in the center-back, along an upper edge due to a seat belt buckle. It is not visible from any forward or side angle.

That's ALL you wanted to know about?!?   :D

Ok-

It's just something to type in order to get a thread noticed that's been sitting for a while. Anything could be typed. "Bump" is convenient at times.

I fell BUMP is the auctioneer hitting the hammer on the table.

Nice price reduction, $4000 to $1800 :thumb: yet with free DC Filaments seems a great offer.

OVER 50% off! Can't lower the price any more.

I want to build another one, but this has to go first.

Someone is going to be VERY lucky!
