Needed to pick up a few basic cables (including ethernet) to get everything cooking with the BDP-1.  Some friendly forum folks recommended Amazon Basics.  Excellent prices, especially when compared to the local retail electronics store.

You might also look at Markertec.com for cables.  Large selection of pro-audio/video cables using Neutrik connectors, Mogami or Canare wire, etc.
