This is indeed an early AVA Super Fet Pat-5.
The original phono circuits were hopeless, so this unit has new AVA phono boards (the two at the back). The line-tone control boards and power supply boards were original Dyna boards, but with new active circuits installed on each. We also installed new stepped precision volume and balance controls.
These were very durable units and still sound darn good even compared with rationally priced equipment 20 years newer.
Does the FM-5 tuner have our Super Tuner boards in it or is it still stock Dyna?
The asking price is a bargain for the pair assuming they are in good working order.
