Anyone try the Canada Fuller KT88s yet?
« on: 16 Sep 2011, 10:54 pm »
I've seen yet another new KT88 recently.  They are labeled Canada Fuller KT88, and they share some of the same qualities as the Black Treasure KT88.  It seems they make two types, one with blackened glass, and one without.

They sure look a lot like the Valve Art Shuguang, except with black plates and gold pins.

Anyone know what the go is on these?

This question has been posed but unfortunately there has not been an answer.  :(

I don't have enough hours on mine yet to make the call if they sound the same as the Treasures. They sure are pretty in my amp though and they do sound fantastic, I just haven't A/B'd them

Thank you, Bill!  Do please keep us informed as to your thoughts on sound quality in your EE MiniMax amps.

Say did you buy yours through the eBay seller mentioned in the other thread?  I think the membership would also be interested in hearing about your point of purchase and how that all went.

Yes, I posted a while back that I purchased the Canada-Fuller's  from Ricky at Hanshare-Electronics(ebay name) for our M88. I've been so busy lately that I just haven't been home to give them a good listen or compare to the Treasures as of yet.

The build construction of the new Pavanes looks nearly identical.  They're about the same price too.  I'm also very interested in listening impressions.
