Hi everyone! I'll upload photos soon, but I wanted to get the thread started ASAP. I have a beautiful pair of Hyperion 938's that I have to sale.
I recently acquired these from the original owner, then a month later was offered a pair of 968's and decided to make the change. It's a long story, but basically I thought I missed out on the 968's so I bought these 938's, but then the 968's came through... You know how it is. I personally prefer the 968's, but:
a) they both sound great, but I feel the 968's work better in my listening space, and
b) I paid almost twice as much for the 968s! I doubt that you'll find a better speaker at this price.
I live in Riverdale, which is the north-west Bronx here in NYC. I'd prefer a local sale, but I do have the original shipping containers and bags. Shipping will add about another $200 to the price tag depending how far away you live. I'd be more than happy to drive an hour or so out of the city to meet you and make the swap.
They're in perfect working order, and cosmetically they're at about 99% perfect. One of the corners of a bass box has a tiny ding from having them shipped to me. You'd have to get down on your hands and knees to look for it, though.
I'll throw in my collection of 12 Isonodes , which I was experimenting with. It was suggested to me to place them between the top and bottom cabinets to improve the midrange clarity, which did indeed seem to help.
If I didn't come across a nice deal on the 968's, I would have been completely content living out my days with these speakers. I wish I had the room to hold onto them!
I'm asking $2595 o.b.o. which I what I just paid for them. No reasonable offer will be denied- I would prefer a fast sale.
