Another Dual Turntable Find

Found this today at a local charity's vinyl, record sale sponsored by WSIU, the university's FM radio station: $50. This little table came with all the original accessories, manual, original warranty card, dustcover and an Ortofon MM cartridge. With a little attention, elbow grease, 9 pounds of plastic and some other tweaks, the last cheap Dual TT I picked up turned into a delightful player. Let's see what happens to this one:




Dual CS 1264 Single-play/multiple-play, Vario-belt drive and Ortofon 55E cartridge



Needs a thorough cleaning and set-up!

The downside of that table, and others with the factory Ortophon, is that it has a non-universal headshell insert, so changing cartridges is out (or hard to do). If your cart is good, a good score.

every now and then the ULM to 1/2 adapters pop up on ebay
