I have ordered passive crossovers for my horn hybrid speakers and purchased a Yamaha A-S2000 integrated to replace my separates. The following gear will be available as a consequence in 2-3 weeks:

Parasound JC-2

Parasound A-23

Kenwood KT-917

DBX Drive Rack PA with Calibrated mic

Perreaux PMF 1850

Audio Mirror Tubadour DAC

Audio Mirror T-61 preamp

NHT Passive Volume Control

Kenwood L-07C preamp

NAD 114 preamp

Amber Model 7 AM-FM tuner

That's all for now. Some of these pieces have a story that drives the price down but I'll deal with those individually as inquiries come in.

how does going w/an integrated amp negate the need for tuners and dac?

or is the a2000 a receiver w/built-in dac?

Sorry, all. I can see by the responses so far that my ad was not clear. The only things on that list that cannot be sold yet are the two Parasound pieces - and someone already has dibs on the A-23. The other items are just accumulated and largely ignored past acquisitions that I added to the list while I was typing. So, starkiller, if you want that L-07C preamp, its yours for $150. I have the original box but I think the original packing might not be there any longer. The cosmetics are good but I remember some scratching noise in the pots. I'm only the second owner.

SlushPuppy - That Yamaha is sitting here still in the box waiting for those same passive crossovers. It goes in when the Parasound stuff goes out. I bought it from Hi-Fi Heaven for $1199.99 - and they have more units at that price. Even though it doesn't have a built-in DAC, it does have phono, remote and multiple inputs. If it proves to be as good as I expect, it will represent (at that price) one of the greatest deals I've ever seen on new gear. I bought silver but they have both colors. With a 3% credit card up charge and shipping to my address in Colorado, the total came to $1387.48. I don't usually buy new but this opportunity could not be overlooked since reviewers are saying its a steal at $2500. Yamaha says it is the first fully differentially balanced integrated amp ever.

I didn't list my Audio Mirror 20 watt mono blocks or my Rawson built Aleph J mini because I'm too sick to let go of those yet. I'm hoping the new amp will help me to let them go as well.

i wouldn't be selling any amp/preamp stuff until i had a chance to hear the new stuff. it's hard for me to imagine that passive won't be a noticeable downgrade in sonics...

Parasound A-23 amp returns to available this morning. Person who requested dibs on it has just notified me that he decided to spring for a much more expensive amp because " you only live once". He's right, of course. So the A-23 is once again up for sale in the near future.

I've noticed that both of these Halo pieces go very fast on Audiogon, especially the JC-2. If interested in underpriced high-performance amplification, contact me ASAP to make arrangements or inquiries.

The JC-2 is a killer preamp and you will need to spend a lot more in order to get a higher level of performance.

Reincarnation strikes me as highly unlikely but, even if it had merit, why assume we will return as a human or even as a living thing at all. Maybe you'll come back as a rock or a drop of water.

These past life people all seem to have been a prince or princess in previous incarnations. Never occurs to them that the molecules they inhabit might have been pond scum or a tumor on a goat's ass.

Anyway, the upshot is: He ain't buying my amp. That's O.K. though -- it isn't even ready for sale yet. Still awaiting crossovers.

O.K. The projection of 2-3 weeks was off a bit but my plans ultimately fell together and my Parasound Halo stuff is now available for sale.

I'm the second owner of the JC-2 preamp. It is in immaculate condition and comes complete with everything that the factory provided when it was new. For anyone who does not already know, the JC-2 is a bit of a rarity in the marketplace in that it is not an entry level, great for the price kind of product. Rather it is a state of the art contender at a selling price multiples below its real competition. Perhaps the best overall bargain in solid state preamps currently being produced. It comes with remote and six line level inputs. There is a matching state of the art phono section available from Parasound for anyone who wants that feature. I'm asking $2400. I'm open to offers in that general ballpark. I may consider a partial trade, although I can't think of anything I want.
Also selling my Parasound A-23 power amp. 125 watts per channel. Original owner. Contact me if you want to know what's special about my A-23. It does have a feature not normally found on used pieces.
