I just found this over on the Well Tempered Circle

and it's worth keeping an eye on - Bill Firebaugh is quite the astonishing fellow.  His ideas are just so clever and he'll spend forever screwing around with them until he gets it right. 
I WILL track a pair of these down once they go into production.

The price, unsurprisingly will be $20,000 which leaves 99% of us out.

I would not expect to see a review of the Well Tempered Speakers in the Ford Household anytime soon.
I believe that our very own Jazzman has stated that the materials involved aren't very expensive but there's an awful lot of labor involved in building electrostatics.
For the electrostatics to really become popular someone needs to get the price down by a lot.  I was hoping that it might be Well Tempered.
