Thanks, I will look into that. Very interesting.
But to cut it short: you record the sounds coming off playing the records, so with pops, clicks and ticks? I fear that does not come close to the master tape??

of course it depends on the quality of the vinyl itself. some are free of pops, clics etc. :thumb: i have some very good, clean and clear recordings. but the master tape is for sure unbeatable!
it's just great to create your "own" hi res stuff :green:

just discovered that PureMusic and SonicStudio offer solutions too.
http://www.sonicstudio.com/products/dsd/dsdformac.html The latter seems rather expensive.....PureMusic, I just can not get the hang of it. Seems a bit cluttered, and in fact don't need it anymore because of the BDP...just figuring out which program does the Dff to WAV conversion best, if I am not allowed to play def directly through the BDP that is.

Interesting journey I must say.
