Do the Mini panels themselves (not the separtate DWM woofers) really give outuput down to 40Hz?

Probably not. Magnepan does not claim the Minis go down to 40 Hz. I have the DWM woofer (but not the Minis). The woofer seems to operate between 40 Hz and about 150 Hz. (I did not measure, this is just by ear.) I suspect the Minis pick up around 150 Hz or about where the woofer leaves off.

Wendell says the MINI goes down to about 250Hz.

Thanks to all.  I would thought so that the spec disclosed in the website / user manual (40Hz - 40kHz) is for the system: mini + woofer panel.

Just saw the ads in the latest TAS Sept issue. 

I'm hoping my 3.7 ordered last month would be assembled soon and before Wendell caught up with orders for the Minis. 

BTW, the $1,495 MSRP complete system comes with one or two panel(s) of DMW woofer?
