SOLD - FS: AV123/GR Research LS6 $2500 + shipping

SOLD
I have decided to part with my the LS6 speakers.  The speakers are in perfect working condition.  I received them in April 2008 and it has norez installed.
Pictures borrowed from Levi's posting on Archived NY RAVE Audiocircle, since I am unable to take recent pictures.  Hope Levi does not mind.

The reason for selling: Over the weekend I had water in the basement and I was just able to save the speakers by placing them horizontally on the sofa, which made me realized that I need to get something that is easily movable just by me in case something like that occurs again even after all the precautions that I am planning to take.
Local sale preferred 08540.  Willing to drive up to 100 miles to delivery in person.
Thanks
EDIT 8/29/2011 at 9:34pm - I found that you are able to see mdf on the bottom of the speakers stands where the satin black paint has rubbed off.  When the speakers are upright you cannot see them.  Recent pictures include the scuff mark are located here

It's a shame we are not closer.....    That is a GREAT deal on a pair of LS6's.    :thumb:

I'll be envious of whoever gets this deal.

Dibs,

I'm in NJ as well (Swedesboro).  The woman works in princeton.  I already have a pair and looking for a second pair for rears.  This is perfect.

So, what will be taking place of these speakers? Just curious. You don't have to post publically if you don't want to. Best of luck with the sale

By the way, very interesting room acoustics. How does it work out for you?

The pictures are about 2 years old but the acoustics worked pretty well.  It was my way of finishing the basement and I had bit more dampening than was needed but it was easier to remove the panels as needed.

As for what I am replacing the speakers with I am not sure.  Researching but will not be making any decision until the ls6 are sold and out of the house.

Man, and I thought AV123 was giving these away at $4,500 a pair. I sell the kits for $1,995. Plus the 9 sheets of No Rez is now $359. You couldn't have a pair of those cabinets made here in the states for under $2,000 and would probably have to pay around $3,000 because of the Rosewood veneer. I am surprised you didn't sell these in the first hour at that price.

Thanks Danny for breaking down the cost for building them out.
