I have to agree with PhilNYC (except the singing), during the 60's and 70's lyrics were usually very important to me (Hendrix, lyrics?) and it continued that way through my pub rock/new wave phase. Then, by about the mid 80's I had started changing over and was seeking out music that drew me more into an emotional state/liberation. I still listen to a dwindling few artist's lyrics, though thry tend to be what I group together as singer/songwriters, the Patty Griffin's, the Patti Smith's, the Richard Thompson's. For the most part though, I'm oblivious to 'em. The music simply flows. Old age.
Trial of the Bow! I love both that I found
