dvd audio rips

Hi All,

Just used http://www.dvdae.com/ DVD Audio Extractor for Mac to extract the audio channel ..... (what else) from some of my DVD's and it worked great. 24/48 signal, nicely recognized by the BDP and BDA.

Just thought to mention it here, since I recall a thread about SACD and DVD pcm signal into the BDA and its impossibilities and never read about this program

Also to ask you if you've got other/better suggestions. It still is a bit of a hassle because I did have to rename every 'chapter' into the song name for convenience sake in Mpad/Max.

thanks, greetings,
Marius

ps hearing this show, http://www.petergabriel.com/dvd/Growing_Up_Live/ Peter Gabriel's Growing Up Live, and not seeing the images along with it, does make one more aware of the less then perfect Audio....then again, good to have it in the BDP now!

I use DVD Audio Extractor to extract and Mp3tag [http://www.mp3tag.de] to tag the sources.  Unfortunately, Mp3tag seems to be Windows specific but there are similar apps available on Mac.

Mp3tag allows me to query and select album info / track listings so I'm not stuck typing them all in.

DVD Audio Extractor here also, I've just finished ripping the re-mastered Nick Cave back catalogue which comes with 5.1 and 2ch 24bit versions which when ripped sound fantastic through the BDP-1  :)

HI,

I can't seem to eject a DVD with DvaAudioextractor (for MAc) running, after the rip has been completed. Seems silly to have to exit the program between DVD's.
