Here's a couple that always get my blood flowing, and the recording quality is pretty good too.

And at the time (even now to a degree) the innovative use of violin as a primary instrument in a rock format set the group apart.

Whoa, man. Those look like some deadly bits of kit. How are they treating you so far?

Here's what I'm grokking to as of two hours ago: http://www.audiocircle.com/index.php?topic=97955.0

YAY.

Neeko :  Here is my initial review of the FACT.8 after having this demo set in my rig for a week or so ( mine are on the way ) :  Stunning. I have never heard such clarity in a speaker. Ever. They do everything right. Crazy good speakers.

Those new Soundfields look like big fun - you diggin' em?

Grok On!

I'm surprised that no one has a classical selection that they find moving/engaging/etc.  For me, this Rachmaninoff gives me goosebumps.
Hmmm, let's try that picture again.

Good news on the FACTs. They def look like some next level sh#t. Isn't it great to hear sound get better in your system. Ahhhh.

So yeah, the Soundfields are doing me justice right now. That thread I gave before has my impressions in real time :-)

Oh, so we're talkin goose bumps, hair raising? Over the past decade nothing has done this to me like Sufjan Stevens, Come On Feel The Illinoise. If you aren't totally blown away when track 4 ends, you better check your pulse.

Not sure what prompted me to get the cd. But I listened to it nearly everyday for two months. That hadn't happened to me in a long time.
These are the best threads, so much good music to find.
Do get the Elbow album recommended previously. I have a few of theirs, surprising they don't get more attention.

My MMG's will be here in a matter of hours. I'm busy pulling out albums that I'm dying to hear on these things.

I just bought a new Soul Album, Called Wheedle's Groove, Seattle era funk 65'-75' that will probably get first spin.. It's an incredible, incredible album... then I'll put in some jazz next..

And then, with great hope for a good result, I'll eventually put some metal and hip hop in, and some poorly recorded stuff.

Scared to take out my monitors and sub because it sounds so good in my room.

Ok, back to talk about records.

It's almost embarrasing how excited I am. I have the windows wide open so I can see the UPS guy.  :green:

I know the feeling  :D. And yes, we're dorks.

Duuude. Post more impressions of your Monitor 1's! I'm watching that thread every few minutes. I want you to put something with loud sloppy basslines in and report back.  :green:

Ericus Rex

I like this album a lot:

It's the Devin Townsend Band and the album is titled "Ki."

I've tried to get lots of people into this guy's music.  Most cases I've failed miserably.  You all may hate it.  But at least one of you will think it's the greatest album since __________.
