BDP-1 & NTFS
« on: 24 Aug 2011, 12:03 am »
Hi,

Any news on BDP-1 supporting New Technology File System(NTFS) from window operating systems?  I have spent many months digitizing my music collection, so now it time to give this unit a try...

Is there a plan to offer a hard drive combination with BDP-1 in the near future? And USB 3.0/Ethernet is becoming a common connection for portable hard drives, any thoughts on upgrades for both BDP-1 & SP3(not yet released)?

Ciao Luigi... :green:

Hi Luigi

The BDP has always been capable of playing NTSF files.  Not sure I understand the drive question - any USB drive can be used.  As for USB 3 it has no application with the BDP-1 as the speeds required to play music files is well within the range of USB-2.

Hi,

Great, I thought initially the BDP-1 did not support NTFS.

James, I was referring to hard drive combination with BDP-1 unit, if this would be offered as a package?

And how is this BDP-1 selling?, its been an year now...

Hi Luigi

We are looking at adding a USB docking station that you can plug your USB SATA drives into but it will be late fall before I can get at it.

Selling really well indeed ... We have been in a constant backorder since it was introduced :thumb:

James,

I had placed an order  for a BDP-1 through my dealer, a couple of weeks ago.

How many weeks does it currently take, once the dealer places an order with you.

We are constantly backordered so usually 2 weeks - what is the dealer name and I will hurry it along for you.
