I’ve decided to sell my RM30s and would appreciate some feedback on how to present them. I presently bi-amp them with a Behringer crossover, but still have the passive crossover parts. I’m considering a few options and want to know what you think would be best way to present them.
1. Sell them as bi-amped speakers that require four channels of amplification and include the Behringer XO as part of the package
2. Restore the passive XO and sell them as stock RM30s
3. Give the buyer the option of either passive or active XO for the same price and prep the speakers as the buyer wants them. If passive, I’ll reinstall the crossovers either internally or externally. If active, I’ll include the Behringer XO and the uninstalled passive parts.
I’m leaning towards the third option but don’t want to scare buyers away who are looking for a simple speaker solution. I won’t be asking top dollar for them since the cabinets are early production and don’t have the fit and finish of the later MLS cabinets. I’m also heavily favoring a SoCal sale since these would be expensive to ship. Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks.
