Please keep us posted if there is a benefit or charity auction for his family.  This is a sad thing but it's good to see everyone get together to show support.  It's very sad to hear his wife is battling cancer at this time.  I can't imagine what she is going through but hope to lend some support.

Regards,
Jack

Ditto. If there is anything we can do, I'm in.

I am so very saddened to see this.  Having had a couple of great transactions with Lee, my first thoughts were to simply express my gratitude and offer my condolences, as best I could.  After seeing his picture, however, it all became much more personal.  I can only hope there is some way I can help his family and friends through this terrible time.

This is shocking news.  My deepest condolences to his family.  I bought some output tubes from Lee about a year ago, and had pleasant email exchanges with him.  I am still using the tubes on my modified Jolida integrated.  Every time I turn the amp on now, his memory will live on.

I am out of the country and ted_b's message made me aware of the great loss to our community.

Rest in Peace Lee, you will be missed.

Lee was a great guy. He cryo'ed a set of DIY speaker cables for me (12 ga. made from tightly-twisted Cat-5e) and it made a huge difference. My review of his DampClamp turntable weight can still be found on his website. He was an incredibly nice person, and will be missed.

Thanks, everyone, for your kind thoughts and support for Lee and his family; I'm so grateful!  I realize it's probably impractical for most of you, but the funeral service will be held tomorrow at 9:30 a.m., and anyone is invited.  The address is:

LDS Chapel
870 E Canyon Rd
Spanish Fork, UT 84660

This is also the address to use if you wish to send flowers or the like, although I might suggest sending a donation to his family instead.  Marjorie will be placing a donate link on the RMAF site very soon which can be used for this purpose.

People here will be interested to know that I'll be setting up an audio system for Lee at his service, and his favorite tracks will be playing.

That is very cool and very appropriate for him. You're a good friend Josh.

Lee was a kind, helpful, funny individual.  I didn't get to know him as well as I would have liked and was looking forward to seeing him at RMAF.  Please see this link for my feeble attempt to help: http://www.audioevo.org/in-memory-of-our-friend-lee-weiland.html  It is times like this that I wish we could all do more...

He is missed by many.

Be at Peace, Lee.

My condolences to Lee's family and friends.

I suggested to Marjorie that we donate a portion of the Red Rock Audio liquidation sale to help Lee's family. She agreed. There are a couple of adds here in Industry Discussion, so please take a look. I will be adding more items soon. The more stuff we sell, the more money we can donate to Lee's family.

Respectfully,
JCarney

So very sad.  I never met Lee but had business dealings with him through Cryo-Parts.com.  Lee was honest and always helpful.  He will be missed.  RIP Lee, and my heartfelt condolences to his family.
