****** Price drop: $1,000 for the pair********
Please don't ask me what my best price is. $1,000 is my bottom price.
Source Technologies 1.7 Ultra Reference floorstanders for sale in South Jersey 08054. Asking $1,000 for the pair ($5,000 new). Source Technologies is made by John Sollecito (of the infinite slope). Uses 7" Scanspeak 'Revelator' driver and 1" Scanspeak 'Revelator' tweeter with special "dish" flange. Mundorf silver and oil caps (as seen in photo). Airy, and detailed without ever being overly bright or harsh, the highs with the Revelator tweeter are simply wonderful. The Revelator woofer is exquisite. It has midrange warmth that will make you melt on vocals. The bass is full, tight and plentiful. A very simple crossover with Mundorf silver and oil caps makes for an amazing two-way that is very non-fatiguing and a joy to listen to. I used to own a pair of Volent monitors that cost more than these and are a wonderful monitor in its own right. Frankly, these make the Volents sound a little analytical. These are warmer, less fatiguing and have deeper bass then the Volents. If Source Technologies was reviewed in Stereophile and widely recognized, I would ask $3000 for the pair. However, they are not. I guess this is the part where I insert the, "My loss is your gain" line.

There is a 5" dent on the side of one speaker from when it leaned over onto a table. Honestly, hardly noticeable, but I want to disclose everything. Also, I do not have original boxes but I will pack securely. I will wrap each speaker in plastic, then place it inside a box with foam and/or peanuts all around the speaker. I will then place the box into a SECOND box and fill with foam and/or peanuts again. I ship all my equipment in the same condition that I would want to receive it.
