I am leaving the vinyl game, and so am offering my Audio Alchemy VAC-in-the-box phono preamp for sale.

The AA VITB is a fine-sounding phono preamp, and is jumper-configurable for input capacitance and impedance to match your cartridge, and for gain appropriate to either moving coil or moving magnet cartridges.  Changing jumper settings is a snap, simply remove the rear cover (one screw and the ground wire nut), slide the pcb out of the case, and move the jumpers as needed.

This one is in excellent working condition, with VG cosmetics, no dings, scratches, or dents in the finish.

It comes with a Marchand Electronics, model PS-10 dual +/- 15v regulated linear power supply, mounted in a hand-made brass and copper "retro" styled case with a heavy copper baseplate.  Case shows a few handling marks and minor wear, but passes the "3-foot" test fine, and has a quasi-steampunk sort of look, while predating steampunk by at least a decade.

No manual for the VITB, but I will include instructions for setting the jumpers, and a .pdf manual is floating around the web somewhere, would just take a bit of searching.  A .pdf manual for the power supply is included.

Asking $145 for both, shipped priority mail to any US destination.

No, I've used it with a moving magnet cartridge, but the specs for gain are as follows:

+60db for low output MC
+50db for medium output MC
+32db for regular MM

gain is set by a pair of jumpers, one in each channel.
