Hi, I have an Onix Melody SP3 MkII with upgraded tubes and extra tubes for sale. Many of you know this amp, if you are thinking of moving into tubes, this is an incredible bang for the buck amp from Onix.
Excellent tube amp. Musical, sweet sounding, great sound stage with details. Great reviews on it. It’s been my go-to amp for quite some time, but I’m moving soon and this amp is going to be a little too big for the new room I will be moving into, hence the sale.
A powerful tubey 38wpc. I listened at 9 o?clock (1/4 of max) on the stepped attenuator volume pot in a small-to-medium sized room. Integrated tube amp with 2 sets of RCA inputs. 4 ohm and 8ohms speaker taps.
The upgraded tubes included:
Melody 5881 (stock tubes 4 pcs ? compared well with the Sovteks)
12AU7 - RCA 12AU7 Clear tops (pair) branded CONN. These were selected for organ, hence they are very musical, clear resolution, tight and quiet/low noise.
6922 - Electro Harmonic GOLD PIN (pair) - tighten the bass significantly
12AX7- Electro Harmonic 12AX7EH (pair)
Extra tubes:
RCA (CONN) 12AU7 Clear tops (pair)
5881 - Sovtek (Quad)
That's at least $250 worth of upgraded tubes, but well worth it, considering the consequent sweet sounds playing from my speakers.
My SP3 MkII is in excellent condition, with no dings or dents. There is pretty much nothing I can see wrong with it cosmetically or sonically. Sorry, the pictures definitely have it a little dusty.
Includes the tube cage, 6 metal tube sleeves, factory power cord, owner manual and original double shipping box (with shipping material styrol) are included. The box shows signs of shipping and storage wear but integrity is not compromised.
