went out for a second and decided to stop at mr seconds (low class home depot) and found some granite cutting boards cheap-14x20 for 24$ -3/4 inch thick with all edges polished and big fat rubber feet.
only had grey-black was available no more

they have  16" circles also-havent figured out what i can do with those yet-

if i score the sansui tuner that i set up for tomorrow it will be a good audio week

I've been eyeing the big marble cutting board we've had for years...nice green/grey finish, bevelled edges with big stonkin' feet.

We have corian countertops in this house and can cut right on them, so no need for a marble cutting board per se.

Hmmmmmmmmmm...maybe now is the time; you got me thinking.

Just for WAF arguement sake, never ever use anything but wood for a cutting board!  Preferably vertical maple butcher block, 'cause the only safe knife is a sharp knife.  Corian, plastics, etc. will simple ruin your knives...

I got nuthin' special Ginsu's with serrated edges....no fine cutlery here (which is odd as I was a Rep in the Housewares field for several years). I got them for free a bunch of years ago.

Nonetheless, getting a maple butcher block would still properly obscure the fact that I want that marble cutting board for various audio misdeeds.

I may just print out your reponse for the wifey.....tho among the many things around the house that I have swiped to ally my disease, the marble cutting board might be the least contentious item among them.

She was more pissed when I took the 3 x 5' throw rug from the upstairs closet and hung it behind my speakers last year.
