UNIT IS SOLD
This is one of only a handful of remote-controlled volume attenuators designed and built by amp guru Matt Kamna. It is in excellent condition with only a few small smudges on top that look way worse in the photos than in real life.

I don't have a ton of knowledge about how this thing works technically, but I can email you a .pdf of the manual which may answer your questions.  The piece is very solidly built and works perfectly. The unit will accept two sources and has one set of outputs.

Buyer to pay actual shipping costs from 44122. The unit is quite light and should not be bad to ship (I'll make it bullet-proof). See my perfect feedback at Audiogon (Jonathan1257) and feel free to email any concerns or questions. Shipping in the continental US only, please.

Paypal is fine (add 3%) or you can send a USPS Money Order. Thanks for looking.

Here is a copy of the details from the manual that came with the unit. Hopefully, this will clarify and be informative. Also, I am lowering the price to $400 plus shipping. Thanks again for looking. -Jon

I don't get it, why it's called "digital"?

Weekend bump.  Price reduced to $375 shipped (continental US only, please).

Unfortunately, there is virtually nothing online about this piece (although there is information about the designer, Matt Kamna, if you do a search).

To provide some background, I purchased this piece brand new from Matt after reading his ad on Audiogon. My understanding is that (just for fun) he and some friends set out to design and build a low cost, great sounding remote volume control that would beat out MUCH pricier passive and active preamps. They were not interested in making this a business, but wanted to see what they could achieve at an affordable price point. The unit works and sounds great.  I ended up buying a very expensive tube preamp with phono stage, thus the sale.

Again, as I am not particularly technical, I'm not going to be able to advise you about how it works or if it will be compatible with your amp or system. That said, I can email you the manual that came with the unit; this ought to answer your questions.

Will also entertain trades of equal value. Of possible interest to me are a good MM or high output MC cartridge, a record cleaning machine, or decent interconnects and/or power cords. Thanks again for looking.
