Eastern Electric MiniMax Vacuum Tube Compact Disc Player. This little CDP is super. It's built extremely well, has good fit & finish, but most importantly it sounds fantastic. The reason for my sale is simple... as a result of a group purchase of components a couple of years ago, I have two of these gems. I am currently using and keeping one of these for myself. I have the original box, manual and remote. The remote is metal, is very substantial and works fantastically. There are plenty of great reviews on this unit, as well Eastern Electric gear is very well known and respected on this forum. This CDP really has a great "boogie factor"! It is musical with plenty PRAT... and its performance well exceeds its price point even at full retail. The tube compliment is a pair of 6922/6DJ8s. The original tubes are provided with the sale, but I have other tube available such as Amperex, Telefunken, etc. should someone be interested. The MiniMax CDP is renowned for its response to tube rolling. I am rating this unit at an 8/10, mostly for age and that I am the second owner. It shows very little signs of use other than some customary swirls on the top from being cleaned and wiped with a cloth. Please ask any questions. I am a trusted and active Audio Circle member.
